Recently, 2018 Annual Forum on Standardization Construction of Data Center Project Construction, sponsored by China Data Center Expert Technical Group (CDCC) under the Information and Communication Professional Committee of China Construction Standardization Association, was held at the National Convention Center in Beijing. And the releasing and awarding ceremony of 2018 Data Center Technology Achievement Award was held at the same time. Among the 8 outstanding awards of the year, SYC under CEEDI won two.

The Data Center Technology Achievement Award is the highest national technology award in this field, approved by the National Office of Science and Technology Award and specially set up with outstanding award, excellence award and progress award by China Construction Standardization Association, in which the outstanding award is the highest one. Rating Standard for Data Centers and the package-releasing technology in fast track EPC mode of data center project of SYC respectively won an outstanding award of 2018 Data Center Technology Achievement Award.

Rating Standard for Data Centers was formally released in November of 2017. Since the publication and release of this standard system, much publicity for further understanding and promotion has been carried out in the seminars held by CDCC, and this Standard has been distributed over 10,000 copies. Besides, this Standard has been publicized among some international organizations from the U. S. A., Japan and Singapore, and received positive feedback from domestic and global markets.

The package-releasing technology in fast track EPC mode of data center project was firstly applied to FCHYUN Data Center, the first data center project in EPC mode through public tender (through public platform) in China. This project adopted EPC project management mode, with controlled overall construction investment and risks as well as simplified management flow. In such mode, the General Contractor had the capability to manoeuver resources and control prices and supply chains through scale so as to reach the win-win cooperation between the Client and General Contractor.

The Technology Achievement Award is set up to arouse the initiative and creativity of the data center project construction circle and reward the technological innovation achievements and products applied to data center project construction, so as to greatly contribute to the economic development and energy conservation career of our country. The award to SYC has confirmed its strength in the data center project construction field. SYC will rely on international leading technologies and keep providing customized integrated solutions and whole-process service to assist the customers to fulfill their expected objectives and achieve higher value.
