Recently, the open ceremony of 3rd China Urban Mineral Expo was held in Shanghai New International EXPO Center. The attendance to the open ceremony includes Mr. Patrick Haverman, UNDP Deputy Country Director in China; Mr. Jiang Shengsan, president of China Resource Recycling Association; Mr. Pan Yonggang, General Secretary of China Resource Recycling Association; and officials from National Development and Reform Commission.

CEEDI participated in the enterprise exhibition of the EXPO and displayed the achievements in car recycling, lead-acid battery recycling, copper mental recycling industrial chain, extraction of rare earth mental, treatment of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, non-metallic product recycling etc. It featured the theme of “Renewable resource and waste recycling industrial chain”. CEEDI’s exhibition attracted attention from many domestic and oversea companies, research institutes and universities and many cooperation opportunities were found during the EXPO.

The UM EXPO is so far the only renewable resource exhibition featuring “urban mineral” in China. It highlights the "innovation, specialization, internationalization, high quality", and attracts more than 100 enterprises in recycling, processing, utilization, eat hutch waste disposal, solid waste treatment etc. The importance of renewable resource is written in the Thirteen Five"" period for China""s economic and social development which makes this exhibition more attractive.
