The last remaining work - turnkey of Mflex (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.’s new factory finished on July 7, 2010, marking the successful completion of the construction of the project, where Beijing Shiyuan Xida Engineering Technology Co. of CEEDI undertook EPC (engineering project contracting).
The project is located in Wuzhong Economic Development Zone, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. This new factory building covers an area of nearly 58,000 square meters, and a building area of up to 57,000 square meters. The project consists of 9 sub-projects, including factory and water treatment station. Its cleaning shop is classified into 100, 1000 and 10000 grades, and the clean area is approximately 20,000 square meters.
It took 12 months to build the cleaning shop in a wasteland, finish the debugging, and put the first batch of equipment in place since Xida Engineering Co. signed EPC-Turnkey contract with the owner on Apr. 26, 2009, creating a miracle in local engineering history. While ensuring the progress of the project, the company attached great importance to project safety, quality and cost control. To guarantee the safety, it developed rigorous, scientific safety management programs and rules, and let each Mflex on-site team member take their own safety responsibility. The project quality and cost control were based on its technical strength and design capacity. At the beginning of the project, on-site team conducted economic and technological comparison and analysis of all technical programs, and adopted “optimal cost performance” method in designing equipment and area with different importance, relying on CEEDI’s great technical strength, which has effectively lowered the waste of assets and ensured the benefit of the project. To avoid mismatch between design and field implementation, it had professionals in charge of the whole process from design to debugging, and achieved sound effects. It used “strict management + assistance” approach in dealing with sub-contractors and reached 100% compliance, with project quality and safety recognized by both owner and supervisor, winning a title of “civilized construction site of Jiangsu”.
In face of the lingering impact of the global financial crisis and the reduced investment budget of the owner, the work team tried to overcome all difficulties to ensure the progress and quality of the project, and to achieve cost effectiveness. With outstanding design capability and a wealth of management experience, they finished the project within just one year, and gained high remarks from customers and thumbs-up praise-“Chinese Schedule”.
