Recently, the handover ceremony of Myanmar International Convention Center was held in Nay Pyi Taw, the capital of Myanmar. Chinese Primer Wen Jiabao and Burmese Prime Minister General Thein Sein jointly attended the ceremony. The Center was supervised by Beijing Xida Construction Supervision Co., Ltd. under CEEDI.
The ministers of commerce of China and Myanmar signed Exchange of Notes certificate for the project. Primer Wen Jiabao and General Thein Sein sprinkled water on the bronze plate with flat peach branch in accordance with local customs to express their blessing.
Situated in Nay Pyi Taw, the capital of Myanmar, Myanmar International Convention Center is one of major projects that China aided Myanmar in recent years. With a total construction area of about 30,000 square meters, the project chiefly includes a large international conference room with 1,900 seats, kinds of small and medium meeting rooms, banquet hall, office space and other supportive space. It is designed to become an important venue for Myanmar to hold kinds of meetings. The project’s construction began in the first half of 2008. During the construction, the working team of Xida Supervision Company closely worked with the constructers to overcome the difficulties and disadvantages. Sticking to forging fine works through quality service and with a high degree of sense of responsibility and mission, they actively coordinated and carefully managed each link and process during the aid construction and achieved all construction goals with quality and quantity guaranteed, winning the praises and the high evaluation from Myanmar side.
